Doug, there was another thread on seaclear yesterday. You may want to have a look at it. I hate to admit this, but reading the manual has helped me in the past.

Doug, I don't know that garmin very well, is it a NMEA receiver? I use seaclear and just a GPS antenna ($30), I have to go in to the program and under "comm" change the com port adress to what the USB replicator is outputting.

dmoreau-

Again, as I posted in the other thread..

Garmin GPS units default to a Garmin proprietary protocol. For them to be recognized by other software packages, you need to set the port your on to the NMEA 0183 protocol at 4800 baud, 8 bits, 1 stop bit and no parity. The 276 has two serial port outputs IIRC.. so you need to make sure that you've set the one you're using or set both to the NMEA 0183 protocol.

You know what the first rule of sailing is? ...Love. You can learn all the math in the 'verse, but you take
a boat to the sea you don't love, she'll shake you off just as sure as the turning of the worlds. Love keeps
her going when she oughta fall down, tells you she's hurting 'fore she keens. Makes her a home.
