Here is the answer. Yes, we really use these. Discussion is over. Does not spill. Very cruiser proof. Good to the last drop:

ALl you need is a hot cup of water and/or a microwave. Microwave preferred (but that is another thread).

For years, I have used fresh ground beans and a French press, but my new boat came with a built-in drip coffee maker, and I am very pleased with the quality of its brew.

Ooooh...what's the make of that and does it do its thing on 12 VDC?

Looks like we are leaning toward the Bodum at the moment, as it's proved its worth camping...But I do like the idea of a double-walled SS bodum that will keep the squished brew hot, or at least hotter.

This is the stuff you all need. Vietnamese instant coffee cream and sweetener all in small packets also comes without the 3 in 1 mix. Just add water

stuff taste like gourmet instead of folg**s or whatever

Sequiter,
Is that a Holiday Inn, or Embassy Suites in the pic? Nice digs. Where's your boat though?

It is an LG microwave/coffee maker combo, model #LCRM1240ST whose dimensions are 23" x 121/2" x 171/8". Lists price is $179.

It works wonderfully through the inverter and a brew barely dents my 1225 Ah house bank.

No it's more like the Four Seasons; I like my comforts, and I love cooking, hence the great galley.

The boat is in Vancouver at the moment, and, unfortunately, I have just arrived in Halifax on a ten-day business trip. I had some wonderful sailing the last couple of weeks and I will be back out shortly for another six weeks before business again interrupts.
