I love my TankTender

Installed my Tank Tender system this week and I love it. Beautiful piece of gear. Simple, easy to install, no electrical connection, no moving parts, easy to operate, well built and accurate. Different scales for water and diesel. I now monitor 2 fuel tanks and 2 water tanks. Of course my tanks are irregular shapes and so now I just need to calibrate the tanks depths. Highly recommended for anyone who wants to monitor their tanks without dipping.

Best part is that a single Tank Tender panel can monitor up to 10 tanks... four tank hose setups are included with the panel IIRC, but you can add up to six more.

You know what the first rule of sailing is? ...Love. You can learn all the math in the 'verse, but you take
a boat to the sea you don't love, she'll shake you off just as sure as the turning of the worlds. Love keeps
her going when she oughta fall down, tells you she's hurting 'fore she keens. Makes her a home.

Can it be installed on a waste holding tank.
We are always guessing.

According to the literature it can be installed in a waste holding tank although I did not do that. You may need a special fitting for that if I recall correctly. Google Tank Tender by Hart Systems and you should be able to check it out.

Yes, we use it for waste and water, 4 tanks.

Nice. I will get one this winter as I currently sound my diesel tanks (I keep the water tanks filled for ballast purposes and the only time they are emptied fully is over the winter).

They are in my top ten of proven, largely bulletproof boat devices...I have never heard a knock against them from anyone capable of doing fractions...

I paid just over $600 for a 4 tank unit from Defender. It's easy to install yourself. It's a personal thing but to me that was worth it. I no longer have to crawl around lifting floorboards and dipping tanks when I can't read the dipsticks anyway(I used wooden dowels). Now I can sit at the nav station and in a minute know exactly what's in all four tanks. Again, just personal preference.
