His idea is that the boat owner enters into a long-term agreement with him, paying over the length of the agreement not only for application of the product but for regular maintenance (what that would entail, I have no idea) by divers trained by him to know what to look for in terms of product failure. These divers would report to him, and the customer, on the condition of the anti fouling.

hmm... long-term arrangement and his own diving force to report back on the condition..i'm wondering if you prepay this "arrangement"...
and lasts 18 years no less, i wonder if he created this magic coating 20+ years ago to make said claim
gotta say it sounds a bit fishy to me, but what do i know, i'd be happy to figure out how to keep barnacles off my prop and shaft so my engine runs properly
