Raymarine electronics with Chart NavPro

Just outfitted our Bristol 41.1 with all raymarine electronics including E-series chartplotter, ST 60 instruments, radar, gps, ais and Simrad autopilot. Now the next step is choosing a navigation software. Maptech Chart Navigator Pro is getting the best reviews here and elsewhere, and I'd like to get that, and not the Raymarine software.

However I am cautious about the integration ability, or more likely, the potential issues between the two manufacturers. I want to make sure that I can maximize my use of the CNP, have all my electronics display on the laptop, easy route and wpt transfer etc.

I'd very much appreciate hearing about experiences integrating raymarine with Maptech software, especially if you have similar models. Of course, thoughts and advice on how to do this or how not to do it is also very much appreciated.

I'm using Maxsea with the RaymarineST60 and RL80C series. The advantageof this program is that it does off-shore weather routing very well. The disadvantage is cost as it is pricey. Thesoftware is French and is marketed by Furuno in this country. Check out Maxsea's web site for demo. Defender has good prices. You will need some parts fro Raymarine to connect Sea-Talk to your computer.
