Question Bottom Blisters

After hauling my newly acquired boat for a bottom job it has been discovered that there are hundreds of tiny bumps all along the bottom. These bumps are hard and do not contain water. The fiberglass yardman was puzzled and these bumps did not show up until the bottom was sanded, (of course not during the survey). Does my boat have the dreaded pox? What should I do?Thanks.

Sundog-

It would help a lot if you said what make/model boat you had and what year it was. Some boats have known problems and if yours is one of them, then the problem would have some possible common solutions.

If the blisters don't have any acidic fluid in them, they probably aren't osmosis blisters. They may be gelcoating blisters from the original layup of the gelcoat.

You know what the first rule of sailing is? ...Love. You can learn all the math in the 'verse, but you take
a boat to the sea you don't love, she'll shake you off just as sure as the turning of the worlds. Love keeps
her going when she oughta fall down, tells you she's hurting 'fore she keens. Makes her a home.
