battery charger????

i am looking to buy either a Xantrex TrueCharge 20+ or a 40+. i have about 200+ amp hours on my wet cell bank. my 2 queswtions are this.

i can get them both for about the same price and the 40+ comes with a remote panel. is the 40+ too much charger. I read in the manual that it is for banks of 400+

The charger on my boat now is also a converter. with the TrueChare will i be able to run 12 volt items while charging at the dock like i do now. the manual says to avoid loads while charging.

No...the 40 is better...if the price is the same...get it. There is no risk to your batteries.
Yes...you can charge and use 12V items at the same time.

Just curious, why are you replacing the charger you have now?

it is the original charger and does not have the 3 different charge types. it is all or nothing. I want to be able to leave the charger on so it is always ready to go.
