navigation lense recoat

older boat with older navigation light lenses. the port side lense has faded to almost clear and the starboard side is not a lot better. any ideas on bringing the color back to the lenses without replacing the fixture. i'm pretty sure replacement lenses are out of the question as the boat is 32 years old.

If they are the flush mount lights used at that time replacement lenses are available, also complete replacements for the lights are available. I've attached website for lenses from Cat Direct here. Many people like to replace with a pulpit mounted light for a little better visiblity.

During a courtesy CG inspection in Connecticut about 15 years ago the inspector offered to re-coat the inside of my red and green lenses. Best freebie I ever got. Sorry, I do not know what he used, I think it was just paint of some kind.
