Can't wait for this to hit the market... (LED)

8 watt 420 lumen LED... now that will light the boat right up! Am I correct in computing - 8 watts @ 12volts = .66amps?

The only problem here is that 8W is at the LEDs forward voltage, which is typically somewhere between 3 and 4 volts. Now, you could connect a few of them in series and really start lighting things up! Better have a good heatsink though.
