Look at antique stores and lawn sales. I found a pair someone was using to decorate their house and was selling them in a lawn sale. $5.00 for the pair. I needed to buy new wicks and resolder one of the hinges. Newones, I think I have seen them in west marine?

A couple points here, first of all, oil running lights do not put out enough light to be legal under COLREGS. That is why I have a set of kerosene running lights and backboards in my living room rather than my boat.

Secondly, there are a lot of cheap imitation oil running lights that really never would have been legal. They lack the proper fresnel lenses and cut off angles.

Den Haan makes the lamps. As far as COLREGS I am not certain they would compy but Den Haan makes the ''real thing''. In the uS you will have to go through Weems/Plath and I think they run about $220 each plus shipping.
I did find another importer which qouted $195 to my door.

I had a set of the kerosene lamps and found that they were hard to keep clean and shining brightly. Got stopped by the Marine patrol becouse of it. I don''t beleive that they would have passed colregs specs if tested.
