The problem with the Ankarolina, which t23 posted a link to, and similar products is breaking strength. They say it can work as the equivalent of a 5/8"
anchor rope, but it doesn't have anywhere near the tensile strength to do so safely.
The webbing they are using has a breaking strength of 6600 lbs. 5/8" three-strand nylon has a breaking strength of 12,200 lbs. The safety factor required for a critical purpose like anchoring just isn't there. For use as a secondary
anchor, or a utility
anchor, it should be fine—just don't rely on it as a primary
rode. The other problem is that webbing has less resistance to chafe IMHO. The Ankarolina ads all compare the webbing to 1" rope and claim to store in so much less space. 1" three-strand has a breaking strength of 29,400 lbs... or almost five times as much.... Hmm... not really comparing apples to apples...are they.

You know what the first rule of sailing is? ...Love. You can learn all the math in the 'verse, but you take
a boat to the sea you don't love, she'll shake you off just as sure as the turning of the worlds. Love keeps
her going when she oughta fall down, tells you she's hurting 'fore she keens. Makes her a home.
