Mercury 3.3 Outboard

I have a Mercury 3.3 Outboard and gas is leaking out of the Carb. Any ideas what the issue is? Is this a simple pull it apart, clean and reassemble type job or do I need to get a rebuild kit. There is not a lit of support for this motor on the internet.fficeffice" />>>

Sounds like a float problem or possibly the float needle has some trash in between it and the seat..? There's really not much to rebuilding one of these. If your disassembling it I'd put a kit in it.

carburetor leak

This happened to me on an older Yamaha 9.9. Turned out to be a hole that had been eaten through the aluminum bowl. [I have no idea how gasoline eats through aluminum...] and the carb had to be replaced. Not cheap.
Hope this is not your problem.
