Diesel Maintenance and Repair Classes

Does anyone know of any courses being taught in the Tampa Bay area on marine diesel repair and maintenance?

I can''t find any and I would like to get some training on a Perkins 4-108 and if that isnt possible any marine diesel.

Also I have called Ocean Navigator, who teaches a course on this subject, but they do not have any plans in the future to teach it in Florida. They would be glad to set up a course up in Tampa if I can get 8 to 10 people to participate. Cost, I believe would be around $400.00 for a two day course. Anyone interested in participating?

I do a lot of reading etc on the subject but I really think being able to discuss the various subjects with a real human being would be very helpful.

Thanks for the idea.

FYI: You posted this in the Gear and Maintenance Forum. The G&M forum has a diesel subsection. Thought you might want to know.

Try your local U.S. Power Squadron, as they offer a cheap diesel engine class.
