Leak Around Exhaust Hose

Hi. I recently discovered a small amount of water in the bilge under the engine. Found a small leak where the exhaust hose fits on the elbow exhaust/raw water exit mixer on my sea water cooled Yanmar 2GM.

I am assuming this is just a case of the hose clamp not being tight enough and plan to fix it assuming as much, but I am rather inexperienced when it comes to these thnings and was wondering: is there something else i should be worried about e.g. is this a symptom of increased back pressure because of some crap further down the exhaust hose?

I have a raw water strainer and normal water flow is seen coming out the exhaust.

thanks in advance

cheers

It could be that simple or it could be that the elbow is corroded and has holed through. Different engine in this thread, but shows how far it could go.

Take the hose clamp off and have a look up the pipe, you'll soon see.
