NOAA charts & Capn Voyager?

I am trying to download the free charts from NOAA & having problems getting them to load or get recognized by Capn Voyager. Can I use these charts? If so, would appreciate any help.

You can use the raster charts. Last I heard they did not support the vector charts, but had plans to in some indefinite future.
Have you tried http://www.freeboatingcharts.com ? That seems to work well for me.

You want the .BSB raster charts rather than the ENC's.

Has anyone a source for the equivalent free chart download for Canadian waters....specifically Great Lakes?

Canadian Charts are privatized and rights are granted to one company by the gov't last I checked. On the other hand, your health care is free!! (g)

Thx....I'm lost, but healthy.

I do have the Great Lakes, but was hoping to download the 30,000 island area on Georgian Bay.
