And they are still lying about their product despite the practical sailor review:
This results in a net power gain of typically more than 100% in a 24 hour period, producing an average of 80 to 100 amp-hours of energy per day.

Johnrb is on a distinguished road
"This results in a net power gain of typically more than 100% in a 24 hour period"

Unbelievable nonsense. Maybe it works on moonlit nights. I recently attended a renewable energy conference at the Kortright Centre north of Toronto. One of the permanently installed demonstration solar panels had an automatic (battery powered) tracking device. The very knowledgeable person I talked to mentioned this would only increase performance by about 40%.

Yeah John...but it is the movement + the dilithium crystals + panels that actually deliver 40% more than their rated power that add up to an average 100% gain. (g)

Perhaps they are including the (converted) energy the operator expends trying to track the sun, coupled with the sum of erg's (and urk's) expended - some might say expelled - by the cumaltive membership of sailnet in reading this thread (god, don't even try to calculate the energy used in replying).

My vote is that really they are using anti-podal -reversible panels, the back side gathers the sunlight from the anti-podal (currently daylight) side of the planet while it's still night time where the stic is mounted.
I know it's the back side of something.
