My existing chartplotter is already mounted and wired for navigation through the auto helm.
My thinking on the 376c is that 1)it seems to be relatively inexpensive, 2)it is portable and easily transported.
I was thinking of some type of receiver that I could use with my laptop, but haven't found anything affordable yet.
Also, I think I have seen that the service can be suspended and used seasonally if wanted.

Wmiii-

What is your existing chartplotter. It may have an option for adding XM WX radio.

You know what the first rule of sailing is? ...Love. You can learn all the math in the 'verse, but you take
a boat to the sea you don't love, she'll shake you off just as sure as the turning of the worlds. Love keeps
her going when she oughta fall down, tells you she's hurting 'fore she keens. Makes her a home.

Before you buy, you might also look into Sirius weather service and see how it compares. I looked at a friends setup via a Raymarine chartplotter and it looked pretty good, lots of information. He said the cost was $30/mo.
