Actually, we protect them all the way through the Red Sea, if they are going that way, and Diego Garcia if they go the other way. Not with escorts, but with on-board protection assets. Hormuz and the gulf are certainly choke points.

I love my coastal cruiser :d Doesn't let me go more than 6 -7 miles offshore from US land...

6 ~ 7 miles!? That's it?

And you probably don't unplug the shore power either


Note: You can't get lost at sea. For no matter what direction you go in, there is land. Just that some directions the land is a tad farther then other directions.

How am I supposed to pull myself back to the shore?

Well, it's a 22' boat, what do you expect? I went to Block Island last summer, took me 6 hours...
