Westerbeke replacement parts

This is an offshoot to the thread "We're getting hosed"

I'll start it off. My new engine is a Westerbeke Century 120-T4A, based on an Isuzu block (I don't have the info with me here at work). I've already had the experience of traipsing all over Boothbay Harbor, Maine, one day this summer looking for a simple oil filter. The engine's new enough that no marine or autoparts store in town had any kind of cross reference on parts numbers for it.

Any takers? And while we're at it, how about the Westerbeke 7.6 BTD genset?

Google the isuzu engine (ISUZU model NPR ) on line, or go to the local AutoZone (of Pep Boys or your local equivalent) tell them the Isuzu model and get the parts from them, that's the bottom line the previous thread was saying.

I picked the engine number out by looking at the westerbeke link, seeing it was a 126hp engine, and then putting isuzu 126hp diesel parts in the google search bar.

http://www.isuzutruckparts.com/isuzu_parts_specials.htm oughta do it for starters.
I have a westerbeke 30b, which is really 27 hp - not so easy when it's not a truck engine.

Find out where else the engine was used. A tractor? No way the engine was built just for westerbeke. They would have just snagged one already available from Isuzu.
