Question Deck washdown hookup

I am going to install a deck wash down. It would be very convienent to tee off of the engine intake. I have an oversize intake and plan to use one way check valves with hose the next size up. Does anyone have any experience that would say that this is a bad idea?

Morgan...my hard and fast rule is that NOTHING every shares the engine intake valve. Hoses bust...valves fail...engine overheats...engine rooms flood etc. etc. ....keep it simple there...T it off your head intake!

I'd have to agree with Cam. Why ask for trouble when it is more than willing to find you itself.

You know what the first rule of sailing is? ...Love. You can learn all the math in the 'verse, but you take
a boat to the sea you don't love, she'll shake you off just as sure as the turning of the worlds. Love keeps
her going when she oughta fall down, tells you she's hurting 'fore she keens. Makes her a home.
