test high temp. alarm

Might sound like a silly question, but how do I test a high temp. alarm on a perkins 4-108?

To check the wiring you get both wires together and shunt them (join them)..If the alarm sounds, there you go the wire's good.

If you suspect the probe, you remove it, and with wires still attached you heat it with lighter or boiling water. Better with the water.

Rockter will become famous soon enough
If it trips higher than 100 degC, use hot oil instead. Beware getting roasted.
