Question Major Fiberglass Repair

I am looking for information on doing major fiberglass repair. I have a busted hull on sailing dingy and want to make sure I am doing the repairs properly. How do you search the archives?

Hoganc-

It really depends on what you mean by busted hull. Was it holed? did it crack in half? Saying busted is not very helpful. Also, it might help if you said what kind of sailing dinghy it was, since some boats have known issues and may have a well-known repair for those issues. Finally, posting photos of the damaged area in question would help.

However, you can't really post photos until you have 10 posts....since the photo posting function on sailnet is basically broken, and the best way to post photos is to use the icon to link to photos on flickr.com or photobucket.com.

You know what the first rule of sailing is? ...Love. You can learn all the math in the 'verse, but you take
a boat to the sea you don't love, she'll shake you off just as sure as the turning of the worlds. Love keeps
her going when she oughta fall down, tells you she's hurting 'fore she keens. Makes her a home.

Lots of good info under the "projects" tab at this site:

For search here...simply click on the search menu near the top right of the page. The "advanced search" function lets you be more specific in narrowing things down.
