Duh?? (isomat boom) help?

Was in a really good mood today dropped the mainsail tossed it in the van. Did the headsail last week. Anyway.... I want to remove the boom, went to the knuckle or whateveryoucallit and duh! I don't see a way to take it off! looks like black plastic is covering or is part of the witchamacallit

We could dirll out the rivets that holds the boom swivel (witchamaallit) plate to the mast. and replace the rivets later? would love to hear from other Isomat owners on this!

More information: I looked at Rigrite's website. it's the "old style" I didn't look for a bolt on the bottom.. I'll ck again later in the week.

I hope my memory is up to this. To get the boom off on the old style, use topping lift to lift boom up to about 30 degrees from horizontal. Pry off C clips and pull the boom backwards and upwards and it should come out of the gooseneck.
