Windlass help requested

Yesterday AM while retrieving the anchor in Ft. Pierce, the windlass began making VERY bad noises. Grinding, squealing, like metal to metal. It got the anchor up without trouble and we proceeded to Lake Worth. I've postponed crossing to the Bahamas until this is resolved.

The unit is a GDI. It's most likely foreign as the boat is a Jeanneau. I cannot find anything about these anywhere. I do not have a manual.

I started the removal process yesterday and will complete the task this morning. The motor is dated 1990.

Does anyone know a person or place in this area that could assist in the repair?

Thanks, Jay
