How Much Power on a Charter Cat?

All;

I'm preparing for a BVI charter, and one of my crew asked whether or not he would be able to use an inverter to run his C-Pap machine while on board.

We're chartering a Lagoon 38 cat in the BVI. I'd guess that the battery bank is something no better than 4 "normal" car batteries.

The manufacturer of the C-Pap machine tells us that they draw 200 Watts, and if I figured it out right, that's about 17 amps (which would run for ~6-8 hours per night) from 12v batteries, which seems like a lot to me. Obviously, we'd re-charge with the engine during the day.

I realize that it's hard to guess the actual battery reserves on a charter boat, but what do you guys think? If the batteries are in decent condition, should we be able to run his machine all night? It's not just for his health -- the C-Pap will significantly reduce his snoring, which is good for everyone on board.

Any thoughts?

Thanks,
Steve
