Drip Shield

I am looking for a photo of a drip shield for a Westerbeke 10 two. It diverts water dripping from the raw water pump, allowing it to fall to the bilge without hitting the alternator that is located under the pump. (Brilliant spot for it) Westerbeke dealers want $35 for this thing. I am sure I could make one of my own design, but thought it wouldn’t hurt to see what the engineers came up with before I reinvent the wheel. Anyone ever seen one of these things?

Hey, I've got a photo on photobucket.com but I can't post it here. Try going to photobucket, then search "Ericson-26". Then click on "view this user's album" (or similar).

I think it's the last photo in that album. It's not the best photo, but I think it shows what your looking for. I've also got the operator's and technical manual. PM if if you need that material.

I found the photo and it is indeed the W10 Two, but I don't see the "drip shield" whch should be mounted under the raw water pump and above the alternator.

Yeah, it's not a great picture. Unfortunately, I can't send you a private message, or an email, because my "post-count" is less than 10.

If there was some way to connect (perhaps you can PM me with your email address?) I could send you secure download links where you could access scans of the 10TWO Operator's Manual, Parts List and Technical Manual. As I recall, the Parts List and/or Technical Manual are illustrated. You'd probably be able to see the part in some detail.

Oh, here's another idea. Go to marinedieseldirect.com You can navigate through all the parts for the engine. Drawing are available for just about everything on that engine. Whatever drawings are contained in my Technical Manual or Parts List can surely be found on that site.

I went to the web site, typed in the part number and they do in fact have one, $34.32 (which is why I want to see a picture) but no photo or drawing.
