Was able to get the old name off with Fibergalss safe stripper. I am now left with a light colored outline that seems to be in the glass. How can I get it out? Do you think buffing with compound would work. Sanding with 600 grit did not do it.
The outline will fade in time, just be patient.
Sand with 600, then, 1000, then buff with 1300grit compound, then 2000 grit compound, seal with water and wax, then buff ..... for perfect restoration
