Propane Tank Refit

I have a Seward propane tank locker with a 1 gallon tank. The new tanks are to tall to fit into the locker and secure the lid. My local propane dealers say they can''t get the new valves yet for the 1 gallon cylinder. I''m out of gas! Any suggestions? What are all of you doing?

I converted to an Origo non-pressure alcohol stove but I also meeded a lot more than an overfill valve or a tank.
