Chicago sailin retail shops

Hello, I want to ask for your help... I will at the Chicago area next week and want to take advantage of that, since I live in Mexico, sailing gear and hardware is hard to find, so does anyone knows of a retailer other than West Marine or Boaters World?
I need a handheld VHF a GPS and other stuff for my sailboat and trailer.

You're timing may be perfect. Next week is the Strictly Sail show in Chicago at Navy Pier. You should be able to get some good deals there!

If I needed a VHF, GPS, and things for a boat trailer, I'd go to Bass Pro Shops/Outdoor World.
www.basspro.com There are 2 in the Chicago area. Not sailing specific, but lots of marine related gear at good prices.

Unfortunately West Marine is the major player in this city.
You would think that Chicago would have more to offer.

Crowley's Yacht Yard on the South Side of the city has a very nice Boat Store.

Than if you are willing or can drive, (Are you renting a car on your trip?) Wolf's Marine in St. Joes Mich is about a two hour drive from Chicago.

You are probably better off shopping at an on line retailer.
