Which Don Casey book?

I'm planning on pulling out my new "1980 built" East Orient Shearwater 32 this spring to inspect and paint the bottom.

I've read many comments about Don Casey's book, but found he has written a bunch. Which one is recommended for bottom painting?

Thanks

Chris

The one on Deck and Hull Repair is basic, easily understood and full of clear drawings.

I found the book to be to "basic". You could get much more detailed information at the west systems web site.

I agree with Valiente, although...

If it were me, I would spring for the Don Casey's Complete Illustrated Sailboat Maintenance Manual. It actually contains the complete text of six of his books, all under one hardback cover.

It contains the full text of the following Don Casey books:
- Inspecting The Aging Sailboat
- Sailboat Hull and Deck Repair
- Sailboat Refinishing
- Sailboat Electrics Simplified
- Troubleshooting Marine Diesels
- Canvaswork and Sail Repair

I second Chicago Newport27's suggestion of the Don Casey's Complete Illustrated Sailboat Maintenance Manual. At some point you will take on additional products and will save money by buying the one book.

I'd third or fourth Don Casey's Complete Illus. Sailboat Maint. Manual.

You know what the first rule of sailing is? ...Love. You can learn all the math in the 'verse, but you take
a boat to the sea you don't love, she'll shake you off just as sure as the turning of the worlds. Love keeps
her going when she oughta fall down, tells you she's hurting 'fore she keens. Makes her a home.
