Gotta love CraigsList..

For about two years I've been searching for a high quality commercial quality walking foot sewing machine but they are very hard to come by not totally used up.

Well last week I opened up CraigsList and found my new toy! She's a Brother industrial walking foot machine with less than 6 hours of use! The lady bought it then folded her company. It has been is dry heated storage ever since.

For those that know commercial sewing machines this is the same machine as the Consew 206!

I guess I can't complain much considering I only paid $600.00 clams or less than a new Sailrite LS1 pseudo commercial machine...

What kind of cool boat stuff have you all found on CraigsList or eBay or....???

I sold the power boat and all the stuff that went with it when I finally convinced her power boats suck.

Assuming it was included, that Heavy Duty table alone was worth nearly what you paid.

Ah, Craigslist - bought huge box of new stainless hose clamps for $50 a while back and recently a Ranger 33 parts boat (needed a bunch for my project) which had some serious mildew as well as no spar/ rigging. Had 7 Barient or Barlow winches (size 28 and down) and - best of all - a Universal M4-30 with 306 hours which will replace the very tired Volvo MD-2. All that for $2800.

I got three sails in excellent condition for $300! 1 main, 1 150 genoa and 1 working jib. I was pretty darn happy about that... especially since they fit perfectly.

I purchased my S2 Sailboat from a Craiglist listing. Owner listed in via broker -but he also listed in on Craigslist at a lower price...

Tried selling my previous boat on Craigslist - a lot of calls - but 99% were tire kickers - you would return their call or email - but never hear back. In the end, I sold my boat by posting it on a class association web site.

I bought and sold my 1972 Catalina 22 Hull #411 on Craigslist. I think I paid $2000 for the boat, trailor, and two outboards. I fixed up the older honda outboard and sold that on CL for $400. Sold the boat and everything else a year later for $2000 when I moved aboard my Allied. I love CL.

I got my first sailboat for free from CL. A Newport 16. It, and the trailer it sat on, needed work obviously but I got a cheap education in bottom work, varnishing, rust treatment, and fiberglass repair. I spent around 900.00 on the boat in total (including a used outboard motor and new tires for the trailer), then when I was ready to upgrade to a real boat, I sold it for 1400.00 on CL.
