Fuel Pump Replacement on Yanmar2GM20F

We are about to embark on a fuel pump replacement journey. I call it a journey because if is between the bulkhead and the engine and my husband cannot see it. He will use a mirror to help scrape the old gasket off and put the new pump on. Anyone ever done this? It is a Yanmar2GM20F. Any "gotchas" to look out for?
