Need hatch cover for Ranger 28 sailboat

Front Hatch cover blew off during hurricane. Does anyone know where to find a new or used 26 x 26 hatch cover for a Ranger 28 sailboat? Thanks.

Bob

Any way you can find out the name of the original manufacturer?

I replaced most of the opening ports in my 1981 Hunter30 a few years back. They were made by Bomar so I was able to purchase exact size replacements directly from them in Tampa, FL. Couldn't have been any easier.

As to purchasing a used hatch, I suggest you stick with a new one if possible. If the hatch frame has been bent or tweaked during removal, you may have difficulty getting a watertight seal. This is one job you don't want to do twice!

Good luck!

I believe the Ranger hatch you are referring to is solid fiberglass and part of the original manufacture of the boat and simply not available. You will need someone to do custom fiberglass work for you to modify the area to accept a standard hatch, or fabricate a suitable replacement.
