The
CQR is truly time tested and is a fine
anchor however, the Bruce (also a fine
anchor)is far better with low rotio scopes.
The Bruce is not time tested because it has only been around for about fifteen years or so but it''s on it''s way to being just that! More and more people that try the Bruce give up their
CQR''s and
danforth''s.I personally think
danforth''s are junk.If a
danforth drags, all you are doing is trolling for rocks and grass. They are also poor at resetting themselves and if they get clogged and break-out, they WON''T reset.
I''ve never had a problem with my Bruce.EVER. I have seven
anchors and the Bruce IS my main working and overnight hook. I keep a Bruce thirty-three and a
CQR twenty-five on my bow platform,the rest are in the basement.
