Satellite television in the caribbean

Hello everyone, I have a sailboat in the caribbean with a tracvision satellite antenna installed. There is a Direct TV box, but I don't know whether I should stick to that or would Dish Network get better reception there? and any hints on installation? Having trouble finding a technical manual. Thank you
