When I removed the traveler on my boat the bolts took a lot of pressure before they broke free. The 8 bolts were also 7.5 inches long.

I would use naval jelly. No, not from your belly button...

Of course I have this problem with the old head outlet valve being corroded on the thru hull. I alternate between miracle mystery oil and naval jelly. It is not working.

There's a CRC product called "freeze off"
lowers the temp of the target, and then allows the penetrant to wick into the threads.

But you can't expect to spray it and work immediately, It needs time and possibly a few applications, but it works.
Whilst I'd rather not use heat on a boat, if nothing else is working, I cover the thread with wax, then hit the nut with the torch, then remove the heat before the wax has burnt off.
The wax wicks into the crevice as the assembly cools.

If this doesn't work, drill or air chisel the are the only things that will.

One hopes that thirteen months after the post was made, the answer is old history and the point is moot.

Of course, running battery cables to things might just have ARC WELDED them together, beyond any hope of disassembly.

Now that I think about it, it's not so bad to answer old posts, if someone with a similar problem does a search, they'll get more info. That has to be preferable to the same questions getting asked repeatedly.

That's always been my view, after all, someone was most likely digging for answers when it was revived!

I've seen a lot of threads that were actually answered long after they were put to rest.

Ken.
