One the first generation of non-toxic anti foulings. Actually not an anti fouling at all but rather a hard surface that most fouling organisms find it difficult to attach to. But they can attach to it. Regular, very frequent cleanings are neccessary with this type of coating. Whatever your frequency of service is now, figure on doubling it. At least.

I have a monthly service, plus sailing a couple times a month ( more to come now the weather is warming up ), so you think I still need to double up on the service ??

I did find some ( not much ) info on it, it's a 87% ceramic blend epox/resin coating ???

Sounds interesting, besides being marine friendly, it sounds like a hard, slick coating

PDP-

The only experience I have with CeramKote is with CeramKote54 which is an epoxy specifically formulated to line fiberglass potable water tanks. Wouldn't call it or any of its siblings an antifouling coating though.

You know what the first rule of sailing is? ...Love. You can learn all the math in the 'verse, but you take
a boat to the sea you don't love, she'll shake you off just as sure as the turning of the worlds. Love keeps
her going when she oughta fall down, tells you she's hurting 'fore she keens. Makes her a home.

Absolutely. I'm sure your dive service will insist upon it.

since your cleaning times double, does it make sense at all to invest money into CeramKote?? you may as well leave it almost without antifouling and dive in and clean it as frequent as you would with CeramKote...

right?

I use the stuff to paint the back of my Aquariums . . . works pretty good. I don't think I'd want it on my boat. It scratches easily.

right?
No. A hull without anti fouling (in California, at least) quickly becomes uncleanable, even with weekly service. It is impossible to stay ahead of the fouling organisims here.
