Hey all,

I'm halfway through my list, I just want to say thanks to all the resources and knowledge on this board... my projects are going smooth and I wouldn't have even attempted half of them without everyone's advice and support.

Launch is approaching!

Hey-

Updates - Finished the list and then some. Did bail and hire some young yard guys to wet sand and compound. But it opened up a bunch of time for me to tackle custom making a fishfinder mount and swivel and installing. Also build a companion way board based drink holder.

I'll take pictures and post somewhere tomorrow.

After three years of ownership and countless hours here with all of your help the boat now looks like it's 10-20 years younger and it's at least 3 times safer than when I bought it.

Those may have to wait until the fall.

I'm at that point that I am starting to get a little frustrated...due to work, weather, and family stuff (brother's getting married) we still have not had our first sail of the season, but hopefully this Sunday, even if its a quicky

The new name is on...




But I have finished so far:

• Wax & Sealed hull and all vertical topsides (I tried the Starbrite Wax Cleaner as review in PS and sealed it with a new version of Interlux Teflon Wax Sealer, so far so good )
• Two Coats of Interlux Micron Extra w/ Biolux, and raised waterline 2"
• Petit Zinc Barnacle Spray on shaft & prop and new zincs of course
• Installed new LasDrop Shaft Seal
• Painted new boot stripe using Interlux Brightside, turned out well except for a couple of touch ups needed due to the travel lift slings
• Sanded down all exterior teak, applied 3 coats of Cetol Natural, 2 coats of Cetol Gloss...last coat to go on Saturday
• Applied Woody Wax to Non-Skid
• Moved 3500 GPH Bilge pump aft and higher in the bilge and removed check valve...then
• Installed a new 500 GPH Bilge pump down low in the bilge with a check valve (Thanks Sailingdog)
• Installed 2 Nicro Day/Night vents, one in the forward hatch, one in the Salon hatch. (Thanks again SD )
• Installed a new AM/FM CD MP3 Player in a new custom built teak box and replaced all the speaker wires. (thanks Cam)
• Installed new Standard Horizon VHF and connected to GPS for DSC
• Moved stern light from stern rail to antenna post (due to new davit last year)
• Removed name from stern and replaced with two vinyl lettering versions, one on each side of boat aft (really looks good, ask Sailor Mitch)
• a couple of other little things, new rub strakes on newly cetol'ed toe rail, patched a few chips in the deck gel coat, re-routed furling line down port side and yada yada yada.

Left to do:

• Make a decision what to do about my chromed cowl vents, I am leaning toward new stainless from ABI
• Make a decision about sailing instruments, you may have read my issue with my prehistoric datamarine depth gage.
• Epoxy bilge; this may have to wait till the boats pulled.

installed new head
installed new holding tank, waste deck plate
installed all new head plumbing piping
rewired bilge pump
replaced depth & speed gauge w/gps/sounder
installed new transducer
installed battery voltmeter
replaced stern light
compounded, polished, waxed hull (actually suckered my dad into doing it) halekai, thanks for the instructions. came out pretty good for a first timer.

to complete, hopefully in the next week:

SD - Thanks for help on the GPS/Fishfinder mount, look how it came out!

T37, I launch on Saturday. I can tell you how the new fishfinder works for depth replacement. I've mounted a shoot-through transducer and I'm curious to see if it can replace my depth gauge completely. (it better, my depth is DEAD 95% of the time and randomly works once in a while)

Replaced all lifelines with Johnson fittings and swaged them myself (126 turns with the rachet wrench)..cost $650 saved $750 off West marine or Annapolis Rigging quotes for the job

Replaced Hot Water Heater

Replaced Lazy jacks

T37Chef..look for us this weekend as we will be heading out Saturday with MYC Sailfleet companions for a mini-vous to: destination to be determined at 9 AM Sat AM. We are rafting up for the evening and bring appetizers and 3 bottles of red wine per boat.
