Mold west epoxy with poly vinyl sandwich wrap?

Will this work? Its a "saran wrap" type material. I dont want the west to stick to it.
Thanks for any help

Wax paper works well.

aluminum foil works too and it holds a shape better. Beware, it is almost impossible to get it off after. So you will have permit "shinny" what ever.

Also depending on the amount of surface area of the mold - one DIY trick is to use the cooking non-stick spray....

I've used saran wrap several times to prevent epoxy from sticking; you just gotta make sure it doesn't tear or get a hole if you're clamping. I've also used that thin clear packing tape with good success.

I've used regular plastic wrap, but think Saran wrap would work as well to keep the epoxy from sticking.

Saran or equivalent should be OK with epoxy; but I remember having no luck with Saran with polyester, it dissolved.

Wax paper is better but doesn't take to a compound curve as well. If you're clamping I'd go with wax paper.

As a stronger alternative go for a heavier plastic film like vapor barrier.
