FW-21 Bottom Paint

Does anyone know anything about this bottom paint as a substitute/replacement for VC17? I know it is private lable for WM by Petit, but is it a good alternative or just a waste of time? Had to ask, the price is right.

I just read an article on which WM bottom paints are made by which company and what paint it is. I'll see if I can find it.

The WM FW-21 is Petit SR-21. Took a while to find out where I read it.

Any experience with this stuff?

It's interesting. The Pettit version comes in Blue or Bronze, while the WM version only comes in gray.

Petit SR-21

The "bronze" for Petit SR-21 is actually more of a "natural" color, and will change after application, as I am putting that on my boat currently. I suspect that the "gray" of the WM may be the "natural" color, but I don't know for sure. Otherwise they are the same.

Have you used this stuff before? If not, what did you use prior?

A friend swears by this stuff for his boat, but it is in Lake Michigan so not much growth or anything.
