We went with a line drawing - had an artist work it up and create font. Valkyrja is the old norse spelling of Valkyrie. Simple drawing, easy to embroider, shows up well against light color sails...

Does anyone know a good online store to have shirts, hats, etc done?

you could try lands end. we have gotten our work shirts from them. the price is reasonable and they are good quality. you should be able to send them your design for the embroidering.

At the local embroidery shop in Texas, I paid $150 for two short sleeve denim shirts as in the picture earlier, the same embroidery on a sweatshirt I had, plus two t-shirts with screen printing.

Just remember, that any time you're setting up a custom order, the more shirts/hats/etc. you order, the less it will cost per shirt. The setup cost is often the biggest chunk of change in the order. Once it is setup, the costs drop off pretty quickly.

You know what the first rule of sailing is? ...Love. You can learn all the math in the 'verse, but you take
a boat to the sea you don't love, she'll shake you off just as sure as the turning of the worlds. Love keeps
her going when she oughta fall down, tells you she's hurting 'fore she keens. Makes her a home.

It was rather

It was rather unpatriotic...but your gal just looks so good in about everything I have put on her...

However not being computer Savoy... I cant seem to get the eraser function to work properly revealing the base image...
This must be due to the cheap version of Photoshop I opted for...Now seeing the error of my ways in trying to save a buck...you really do get what you pay for...I am now saving up for the real deal...

I have many things form this guy: https://www.myboatsign.com/

Try to get to Michael, the owner. He can do vinyl graphics for the boat and then turn them into emproidery for shirts. He also has stock images of many popular boats. He can also create an embroidered design from a picture.

For what its worth I live on Long Island and had shirts made for both my boat crew (drunk friends) and my construction company by this guy who was referred to me. St.James Embroidery - The link may not work from here but the main number is 631-433-7022. Anyway ask for Mark. He did embroidery work for me on the shirts and hats but he also did some vinyl for the guy who referred me to him. Reasonably priced and did great work.

Good luck with your design choices!
