Just don't thrash it.
Give it time to warm up a little before working it.
When you come to a halt, and the motor goes to idle, give it about 60 seconds to cool the turbo a bit before shutting down.
Bloody turbos... bloody turbos.... never liked them.

Why in god's name did you get a turbo yanmar for a boat? IMHO, a boat has no real need for a turbo-equipped diesel and the extra expense and complexity of a turbo diesel will come and bite you on the backside. Rockter's point about letting the engine cool the turbo off for a bit is important.

You know what the first rule of sailing is? ...Love. You can learn all the math in the 'verse, but you take
a boat to the sea you don't love, she'll shake you off just as sure as the turning of the worlds. Love keeps
her going when she oughta fall down, tells you she's hurting 'fore she keens. Makes her a home.

In general, I run a new engine gently for the first couple of hours, keeping RPM no higher than about 50%. After that I run them a little harder than normal for 10-20 hours, you want to make sure the rings don't glaze the cylinder liners. I change the oil initially after a couple of hours, then I go the full recommended change interval. With a turbo, as Rockter points out, you need to let it idle a minute or two if you have been running it hard to let the oil cool the bearing on the hot side of the turbo, generally not a problem if you idle into your slip or mooring as most do. Turbo's are an added complication, but generally they provide cleaner exhaust, more power and are much more reliable than they used to be (thousands of hours normally). I would carry a spare though if extensively cruising offshore. Usually an easy job to replace one depending on access.

Stay away from synthetics untill you are sure that the engine is TOTALY broken in.
