Cleaning Closed cell foam

What do you use to clean closed cell foam cockpit cushions?
Ours have a cover that is a mess which I can get clean, but under the mess cover are dirty foam cushions that I can not get clean.
I have been trying Simple Green but it is too much like work and not getting any results. Any help???............

You can try using the foam cleaner that one uses for doing the car interiors, or those spot treatments of carpet. Closed cell foam is impervious to heavy acid, and detergents so may provide a way to get them clean without replacing...using a Scotchpad (the type you wet sand with) will aide immensly in the endeavor...
