You can try using the foam cleaner that one uses for doing the car interiors, or those spot treatments of carpet. Closed cell foam is impervious to heavy acid, and detergents so may provide a way to get them clean without replacing...using a Scotchpad (the type you wet sand with) will aide immensly in the endeavor...
