Rockter will become famous soon enough
Lack of oil will sieze or score the bores. The bores need oil splashed on them from the spinning crank. Yes, oil pressure will be needed to float the crank and the other plain bearings (like the camshaft, for example).

In the unlikely event of the crank having roller or ball bearings, they just need fed with oil, so oil pressure is not really a player.

Fill it with oil, start it up, and watch and listen. I would expect the oil consumption to increase a bit, so watch it closely. I drove for years with the oil consumption at a horrendous 8 hours to the pint, but just kept pouring it in... the cheap stuff, that is. Eventually something else went wrong and I re-bored it.
