repair or replace autohelm 4000 control unit

My old autohelm 4000 control unit failed this weekend, it wont powerup anymore. I checked the cable and connector, the power supply works fine. I guess the unit is dead.

Does anyone know how to get it replaced or repaired? I saw some infor about a retrofit kit to use st4000+ control unit? Is that true?

Just replaced my old autohelm4000 with a new st4000 MKII. Works great!
I believe Raymarine has discontinued it, but I bought mine new in the box on eBay for $445.

Did you replace the drive unit also? or just the control unit + fluxgate compass?

Send it back to Raymarine for repair. Their flat rate to repair a ST4000+ Wheel Pilot Control Head is $200. I have sent in two products for repairs and have been pleased with their prompt service both instances.
