Pearson 31-2 Spreader Bulb Question

I know this is a long shot, but...

So... I am getting ready to step the mast, and I figured I would change the anchor and spreader bulbs while the mast was lying on the deck. I got the anchor light without issue. However... When I popped the spreader light out, it instantly slipped out of my hand bounced off the deck and did a swan dive on to the crushed stone below. I though I had a pretty good idea where she went, but couldnt find it. I did find a few shards of glass. The question is, does anyone know what the part number of that bulb is? it is one of those "pointy on both ends" models. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

In a related question.... If I just wing it an buy a few bulbs that look like they would fit, can anyone suggest a way to test it? The stick is down so I am not sure how to get 12v's up to the bulb.

A check of the resistance at the connector at the bottom of the mast would do it. Should be close to the resistance you measure for the bulb. Zero or infinite says short or open.

If you post a photo of the fixture in question, It, along with it's replacement bulb can probably be identified. But you may just want to look in a catalog and see if you spot your particular fixture and then just look up the replacement bulb.

Sounds like it's a standard automotive dome light bulb.

I will still post pictures of the bulb and fixture. Maybe it will be of use to someone in the future. I was pretty sure that I could find a bulb that fit, but I was worried that if I didnt get the same wattage, I would risk melting the lens, etc. Thanks again to those who responded.

You may want to consider replacing the anchor light with the newer LED replacement and save a lot on your power usage... about 90% over your existing light.

Probably not as good an option on spreaders but check what LED you can find and see if it is designed for the height vs arc of light. While LED's work great for anchor lights, they may not have the deck coverage for spreader use to get best and intense light on the deck over a wide area.
