Surveyor needed - Solomons, MD

Can anyone recommend a surveyor - the boat is in Solomons, MD....one that is not wound too tightly? Needed for an insurance survey.

Thanks, Bruce

Make sure you ask if the surveyor will go aloft. Surprisingly, many don't.

Recomended Surveyor in MD

Capt. Joyce Nolan, you can look her up, on her website. She was recommended by one of our sailing instructors. Hope this helps.

Hes surveyed two of my boats and is excellent and full of knowedge. He climbs the mast as well as crawls in every nook and cranny and is only 5'1"

I thought that the objective with an insurance survey was not too thorough and willing to value the boat on the high side! This is in contrastwith a buyers survey where you want someone extremely picky and making a big deal of every flaw and repair needed.
Of course a real surveyor like our CP being a highly ethical professional would never succumb to the blandishments of buyers and sellers... operating instead under the "bite me...I tell it like it is" business plan.

The objective then is to hire a surveyor unlike CP!!
