Diver to scrub bottom.....how much $

Hello
I would like to know, how much it costs for a diver to clean the bottom.
Obviously it depends a little on the growth he/she finds down under.... but is there a formula per foot ...or per hour ..

Thanks for letting me know.
Thorsten

I typically pay 1.00 to 1.5 per foot depending on the frequency of the cleanings and time of year. I get a bit of a break for minimal surface area and having a racing smooth bottom but with high copper content.

cool
I was asking because I am offering the people in our marina to scrub their bottom for $ 25.00..

However, these 25 bucks will go straight to the donation/sponsor list for the Leukemia Cup Regatta later in the year... therfore actually they are getting their money back from Uncle Sam ..

tried this weekend on my boat, sucked half a bottle up, and with visibility of more or less than an inch, its SUPER HARD WORK..lol

what else we do for a good cause...lol

Thanks Thorsten

Jeff_H''s reply of 1-1.50/ foot sounds right on. That''s what we''ve been paying for the past 20 or so years in the Tampa area. We hire a diving service to provide a monthly cleaning and they also send a written report on the condition of the bottom.

I guess bottom cleaning is cheaper in California. My service, which is good, charges $0.90 per foot LOA for once a month cleaning. Of course the LWL is 28 feet so guess that actually comes to $1.15 or so.

They provide a report of bottom/zinc condition along with the monthly bill.

I pay $1.00/ft (or $40) for once per week in East Greenwich. $45 each time for every other (more crud on the bottom).

I have someone coming every week in the summer though, every other in the early spring when the water is cold.

I imagine if you don''t have someone on a regular program the per dive charge could be higher (like the guy paying $75 each dive?).
