GPS and DSC

I bought a new ICOM radio this month for its DSC feature. I need to connect the two NMAE leads from the Garmin 182 GPS to the back of the radio via a RCA style plug. I visited Radio Shack and could not find a RCA connector designed to have a handyman (maybe not so handy..) connect two lines to it, so I am stumped.

Can anyone who connected their GPS to a radio by fabricating a RCA plug explain how to proceed??

usually radio comes with appropriate plugs. in any case, Radioshack has solderless RCA plugs - just put two wires into it, tighten down and enjoy.

I bought the adapter from my Garmin GPS 76(?) at the website linked here:

We also installed a new ICOM DSC VHF recently and if your set up is like mine you end up having to connect 2 of the four wires coming out of the Garmin to 2 wires on the VHF. Check the VHF manual carefully for their instructions.
I have the adapter and the handheld GPS but have yet to connect the 2 up to enable the DSC features. D'oh!
