Single Line Slab Reefing - In Boom

I am the new owner of a C&C 44. The previous owner does not appear to have used any kind of mainsail reefing system
According to the deck layout in the owners manual the boat seems to have a single line system for each of the upper and lower reefs. One to the port side coachroof, the other to starboard. The boom has many internal blocks.
I am aware of the limitations of the single line system wrt friction and independent control of tack and clew and view the single line system as a compromise but would like to at least try the single line system.
Can anyone help with the routing of the lines with this in boom system.
I will likely go to a 2 line system in the future but would at least like to try the one line system as in theory I have all the h/w available.

Do a two line, I tried a one line, what a joke to a degree. Last monday while sailing on a 115, they had on the cunning ham, a reef hook, so you have the cunning ham with its removable hook that goes in grommets for the luff, the lines you are dealing with do the leach/clew. Very simple once one has seen how this works etc. You probably already have the cunningham setup too.

A neighboring boat owner and I were talking thursday about the same issue, showed him what I just setup, and he goes, "I already have that!" problem solved!

Thanks, that sounds like a good approach. The more I think about it the less sense it makes to bother trying single line. I'll go direct to two line and use the in boom blocks to handle the clew.

This setup worked very well for us tonight. No jib and a reefed main and still doing 6.5 to 7 knots! Fun evening racing in a new C&C!
